I stayed for two nights and enjoyed the hotel's charming character and helpful staff, making it easy to feel at home before venturing out to explore the beautiful sights like the fine Duomo, just a 10-minute walk away, and the peaceful Fortezza di Santa Barbara which is perfect for a relaxing stroll after sightseeing.

Property was beautiful small and stylish, I really enjoyed the stay.
The breakfast offered was delicious and rich with several options to choose from. The room was new-fashioned and soundproof with good view when upgraded. The location was great as for me, close to the center of Siena, buses, and Siena, the massive Gothic Basilica of San Domenico in which Santa Caterina da Siena is worshiped...

Great and beautiful location very close to Siena, the massive Gothic Basilica of San Domenico in which Santa Caterina da Siena is worshiped, close to shops, and a nice looking restaurant with public parking. Exceptionally comfortable bed in economy room with a large closet and a balcony.

hotel has a classic touch, however both the rooms and hotel itself are very well preserved, only thing we missed was an elevator because the room was on a high floor and we had to carry our bags, although the hotel staff helped us. hotel is located in a perfect place next to the fortress and church of Santa Catarina, without being in the central area of the historic center of Siena, is 10 minutes from everything, next to the bus stop, so we facilitated the visits to some Tuscan villages and even travel to Florence. In my reservation was included the breakfast, was great, complete. I recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Siena, who intends to travel to nearby places by public transport.
the only but that I put is the elevator, although it has not been an inconvenience

The attention was impeccable from the first day, they help you in everything. They coordinate the excursions that are announced in the brochures that they have in the hotel or in our case they locate you and they certify you exact addresses to avoid that you get lost, if you arrive tired and you don't want to go out you can have dinner in the hotel, they take care of you very well and good dishes, everything very rich.
As in most hotels, it is not just this one, the pillows are very big and although they have two types and one is softer, I think a soft and not so thick one comes better to rest after so many hours of visits around the city. You should check the towels better when they come from the laundry, I tripped over two broken ones. It doesn't have an elevator and if you're on the top floor, it costs a bit, but well, even with all that, if I go back to Siena, I would go back to this hotel, these are things that can be fixed and I know they will.

Here's my take on it
From the warm, helpful staff to its prime location just minutes from key sights, this hotel delivers charm and comfort. Breakfast was good with an array of options.

Good central location, easy access to local bus network and short walk to the main tourist areas. Rooms were beautifully clean, spacious and well decorated. First rate bathroom and shower facilities.
No tea/coffee making facilities and limited service out of 'bar' hours. No lift which was difficult with an elderly relative. Air conditioning wasn't switched on as it was early in the season but it would have avoided opening the windows and letting in traffic noise.

Its location is magnificent, especially if you arrive by bus from Florence as we did (we came from Venice via Florence), as the bus station is less than five minutes walk away. to visit the city as well, just cross the street and you are on the main roads of the walled city. staff of 10, magnificent all. We were accommodated in a larger room when we arrived because the hotel, is an old palazzo, does not have an elevator and we were traveling with a lot of luggage since we were making a trip of many days and room they had planned for us was on a higher floor. If the room had had a shower instead of a bath and a balcony, it would have been perfect. the bathtub has good access, so it's not too much of a problem, there are rooms with showers that if requested in advance there would be no problem either, you have terraces and gardens in various parts of the hotel. wifi works wonderfully, although every time you come back to the hotel you have to connect again, it's no problem. Any request was attended with exquisite kindness. I congratulate all the staff, it is magnificent. Hotel more than recommended.
Breakfast. It's very scarce. All very good, but scarce. Machine coffee is bad, but if you order decaf, they make it right away and it's very good. There's nothing hot, just cheese, some sausage and biscuits and croissants. There's sausages, but they're sliced and cold. You can ask for natural juices but you have to pay separately. I was quite disappointed in relation to the rest of the hotel. Mind you, the attention of the breakfast waitress was fantastic. There is some missing furniture from shelves or drawers in the room to be able to keep the clothes that are not for hanging, but you manage well, especially for those who travel for a short time. Take note of the stairs leading up to the hotel.
